'Africa : self-portrait'

A retrospective of works by African photographers from 1840 to the present is on display at the Belgian Royal Museum for Middle Africa until 28 September.
The exhibition was compiled by Revue Noire, a leading French magazine about African art, and has been shown previously at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, the Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris and in the South African National Gallery in Cape Town.
