Bush Radio
Bush Radio is a South African radio broadcaster, founded by anti-apartheid
activists. 'The mother of community radio' has been broadcasting
since 1995. In December of last year, the broadcaster won the Prince
Claus Prize, an annual prize for people or institutions who are
active in the field of culture and development. The Bush Radio web
site provides information about the radio station's programming,
its objectives and its history.
Last year the radio station was active in the campaign 'Youth Against
Aids 2000' with a special project 'HIV HOP: Hip Hop radio as a tool
for education'.
