Urban Heroes

Urban Heroes is a web site about the inhabitability of large cities in the 'Third World '. It contains views and descriptions of projects, primarily by architects. The central focus is the solutions inhabitants of the cities have come up with to make the city liveable.
The site describes dozens of initiatives world-wide, using themes of identity, accessibility, shelter, decay, violence, waste, and repression.
The web site has been set up by the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil with the support of the Prince Claus Fund.
